One of my son’s final acts before his tragic accident was to rescue a kitten from inside a hot car engine. Ninja is almost two years old now, and thriving. Days earlier, he had given his sunglasses to a homeless man, telling him “You need these more than I do.” To honor Luke’s bigheartedness and pay tribute to all of our beautiful sons and daughters, let’s Flip It Forward to make this world a kinder place.
On June 19th, please join us while we celebrate the biggest (and possibly only!) Flip Flop Drop! Why flip flops? Raised in a semi-tropical clime, Lucas was a lifelong barefoot boy. Whether he forgot, lost, or tossed them, beach sandals were continually disappearing! In fact, he didn’t have much use for shoes either. Joining me on an Appalachian Trail hike in 2013, he climbed the highest mountain in Vermont, Mt. Mansfield, barefoot.
Please visit our Facebook page LukesSkyWalk for instructions to make the Flip Flop Drop a worldwide success!!
